| A | The 20s & 30s Singles Section (20s & 30s) is a part of the Angeles Chapter of the Sierra Club; it was formed to promote, to organize, and to lead Sierra Club activities that allow environmentally-conscious single people in their 20s & 30s to get together. |

| A | No. The Sierra Club membership is different from the 20s & 30s membership. |

| A | You don't have to be a Sierra Club member to participate in our events. However, being a current Sierra Club member entitles you to receive discounts on trips and to have voting privileges in this section. |

| A | While the majority of our members are in their 20s & 30s, membership is open to all adults. |

| Q | Do I have to go to a newcomer meeting or newcomer hike first? |
| A | No. Events are open to all adults (with the minor exception of events with physical or skill prerequisites). First timers are welcome on any hike (or other event) for which they feel physically qualified. |

| A | Anyone can post events on our section. You just need to be a registered member of this section. |

| Q | What events can I post? |
| A | There are certain limitations to what you can post. Only Sierra Club outings leaders can post multi-day outings and hikes. |

| Q | Do I have to be a section member to go on any of the events? |
| A | No. Events are open to members and non-members. |

| Q | I'm older than 39. Can I come to your events? |
| A | Yes. The club is open to all adults, but is geared toward singles in their 20s & 30s |

| Q | Are the events free? |
| A | Events are free unless otherwise stated in the write-up. Occasionally a few dollars are needed for you to pay for your own lunch/dinner/parking/entrance fee/etc. When sharing a ride to an event, it is customary to compensate the driver for mileage expenses. |

| Q | How do I contact the leader of an event? |
| A | For many events, it may not be necessary to contact the leader prior to the event. Simply show up on time the day of the event at the listed location. Answers to questions about carpool points, and rules and policies are available on our website. If you still do need to contact the leader, the leader contact list is available on our site. |

| Q | What is the ratio of Guys to Girls at the events? |
| A | It depends. Each event varies, most often it is very close to 50/50. |

| A | Please see: http://www.angeles.sierraclub.org/outings/Rideshare.asp NOTICE: "In the interests of facilitating the logistics of some outings, it is customary that participants make voluntary carpooling arrangements. The Sierra Club does not have insurance for carpooling arrangements and assumes no liability for them. Carpooling, ride sharing or anything similar is strictly a private arrangement among participants. Participants assume the risks associated with this travel." |
| Q | Are there parking charges for the ride share points? |

| A | In some case yes. In particular the West LA rideshare point requires a fee to park. |

| Q | Are there other singles sections in my geographic area? |
| A | Perhaps. There are a variety of Sierra Club sections all over the United States. |

| Q | What is your cancellation policy? |
| A | Unless otherwise stated in the write-up the following cancellation policy will apply: Full refunds will be made prior to 2 weeks before an outing. Partial refunds may be made may be made later depending on whether a substitute replacement can be found and how early the leader was notified. Cancellation policies listed in activity write-ups supercede these guidelines. In addition, any portion of an outing fee designated for a conservation fundraiser will automatically be forfeited after the check has been deposited. All refunds made on deposited checks are subject to a $10 cancellation fee. All other refunds are at the discretion of the leader and/or the Management Committee. |
